About Us

Associated Aviation Photo Press AAPP was founded in 1972. We are a non-commercial, not-for-profit organisation. Our aim is to increase awareness of and familiarity with aviation by publishing aviation information and photos of aircraft.
In addition, the website gives an extra dimension to our aviation photography activities.

Staff Photographers of AAPP at the start and until today are:

  • Henk J. Schakelaar, Founder of AAPP, started aviation photography in the early sixties
  • Peter C. Jongbloed, retired KLM captain and KLM chief flight instructor
  • Miel W. Ribbe, MD, PhD, Em. professor of Elderly Medical Care

For now, Miel Ribbe is editor in chief of the website.
In the future, we will extend our activities by inviting other aviation photographers to contribute to our website.
